The Kubota brand is certainly known to everyone who remembers the 90’s in Poland. The brand was established in 1994. Back then Dorota and Wieslaw Michalski started to import high quality slide sandals from China which Poles loved. Long time after, the brand faced a big challenge to find itself in the reality of modern e-commerce trends. A little bit ahead of the point of this success story – we managed to meet the challenge. Thanks to PWA, mobile-first, and over 1000 orders in the first month of the store’s operation.
The brand was deeply rooted in the consciousness of people born in the 80’s, 90’s, and earlier, it was not known to the generation of the Millennials. It was crucial to adapt the brand and its strategy to the new market situation, in which searches on mobile devices are the ones that outnumber among users.
The following solutions were used: Magento 2 (e-commerce platform) as backend and Vue Storefront (PWA solution) as frontend. The implementation was carried out by the Partner: Newfantastic.
In response to the market situation, a platform based on PWA technology was created. The advantages of this solution were many. First of all, it is mobile-first, which is particularly important in the context of the mobile-first indexing. This solution supports shorter page loading time, even with slower connections. In result, it affects the Page Ranking. PWA is a universal solution for multiple systems. One application code is written for multiple operating systems (Android, iOS, Windows or MacOS). This way of unifying the code improves updating the pages of an online store. It is also more secure by separating the front and backend of the store. For the store to be effective and to be able to analyze data, it has been integrated with tools for analysis, planning, sales, as well as data flow control. Integration with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Merchant, Google Shopping, Google Search Console, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, XML generation or API integration could not be missing.
The modern Kubota store was to be fast, reliable and engaging. This should result in an increased conversion rate, increased ROI and CLV and higher AOV. What was included in the work schedule?
From the very beginning, the implementation of the store was connected with many decisions about its functions and architecture.
After 4 years of cooperation, we are proud to announce that the e-commerce platform has been stabilized. Critical errors have been completely eliminated. Thanks to the introduced modifications, the client has outdone the competition, and can plan with us the constant development of the store. The key effect was an increase in the conversion rate by 2.5x.
